The vines are asleep for
Our European varietals (like the
Pinots, Chardonnay, Gewurtz) get special treatment; we bury
several canes from each vine under pyramids of earth for the
winter. We call this "hilling-up"
The cold-hardier mixed-heritage
vines (like the Frontenacs, Marquette) are happy above
ground until it gets below -25.
We're hoping for some snow to help protect the buried vines,
and maybe a little warmer winter than last year!

We'll be closing at 14:00 New Years Eve and closed News
Years Day. But, otherwise, open all winter.
